Fathers.
We all have at least one although we may not know them. I hope you have at least one in your life. I am one and have been for 27 years!
My Dad came into my life when I was four. My Mom was a divorced woman with 5 kids gone back to college. A degree in child psychology was her goal. But Cupid struck. She did get her degree, it took another another 18 years. She raised 11 children and 43 foster kids in the meanwhile.
So my Dad was a college going veteran who took on 5 kids. Then the family promptly started expanding.
He worked nights, went to school days. Got a education degree. Became a high school teacher; history, government, Russian, social studies. Had another job working at Sears, a lot of kids to support.
By the time I got to high school he was the principal. Down to just one job.
After I became a wine guy, he came to expect he would be getting a case of wine every Father’s s Day, birthday, and Christmas. He is no longer in this earthly realm.
When I got married I got a third father. I knew Bill before I met my wife Barbara. As my father-in-law I got to know him much better. I miss him too.
If your Dad is still with you, we would like to help you appreciate him.
