- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 tablespoons baking cocoa
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups water
Sift dry ingredients. Add wet and mix with a spoon until all dry ingredients are moistened (do not over mix). Pour in an ungreased cake pan (9×12).
Bake at 350º F until cake pulls away from sides of pan, 35 – 40 minutes, or use the toothpick test.
