We are soon releasing our 2017 Sangiovese. It has been bottled for a while, but we haven’t slapped the labels on yet. I don’t think many people would be able to distinguish it from the 2016 we have been selling for the past year and a half. If you get your orders in quickly, we still have a few cases of the 2016 Sangiovese.
Is it different? Of course, but not by much; the vintages were pretty similar, with no big variances from the season averages.
In 2018, the wine bottle chaos caused by tariffs on Chinese bottles calmed down, and we were able to use clear (more recyclable) made-in-America bottles made from recycled glass. So again, we have red wine in clear glass bottles, nothing to hide.
Yeah, it’s ingredient-labeled; we don’t like to consume unknown substances and assume others don’t, either.
