New Wine Release: Angelica MRS

Angelica Mrs Cropped

We decided to bottle our new non-vintage Angelica MRS in a regular-size wine bottle rather than the half-size bottles we have used in the past. We also added a bit of Xarel·lo, which is a grape from Spain.

We are really enjoying this new wine with our fresh peaches right off the tree in our dwarf orchard. It also goes splendidly with the melons from our melon patch.

Our Angelica is the wine to end your meal with special friends. Serve with grilled peaches, baked apples, poached pears, and crème brûlée, anything that could involve cinnamon. It is a must with pumpkin pie and is astonishingly good with snickerdoodles. All those desserts that remind you of Thanksgiving.

The lovely fruit aromas are Semillon, Riesling, Muscat Blanc, Orange Muscat, and Xarel·lo, all from our vineyard. The sweetness is from the arrested ferment of indigenous and cultured yeasts. The lush texture comes from fermenting in mature barrels and aging on the lees. Angelicas are uniquely American wines. They were made in the missions as communion wines.

No pesticides were applied to the vines that produced these grapes. Yay!

Ingredients: 100% hand-picked sustainably grown organic grapes, unaged grape brandy, yeast, minimum effective so2 (potassium metabisulfite)

Estate grown, produced, and bottled by Paradisos del Sol Zillah, WA, USA, in the heart of the Yakima Valley
